Reminder: Orientation and Check-In

Due to students’ different arrival dates, and the condensed nature of January Term, the Office of University Programs does not offer any in-person orientation once you arrive on campus. However, we’ve created an online orientation and student handbook to introduce you to campus life and policies (as well as this blog, of course!).

Be sure to watch the entirety of the online orientation before you head to campus, and read (and then bookmark) the student handbook, which supplements the orientation.

If you are a new international student  with an F-1 or J-1 visa studying during the January Term, don’t forget you must report your arrival at NYU through the Office of Global Services, or OGS. OGS will host a mandatory check-in on Friday, January 9, at 1:30 PM. Failure to complete this process may jeopardize students’ ability to remain in the United States. Be sure to RSVP for this session online via the OGS website. International students should contact OGS directly via email or phone with questions about check-in or any visa-related issue.

Once you’ve arrived to campus, don’t forget you are always welcome to come speak with your Academic Advisor, Isaac Amad, during walk-in hours!
