So, what is there to do before you arrive to campus? Let’s review the three most essential components.
- First, all January Term students are required to watch the online orientation prior to their arrival on campus. Students should also review the January Term Student Handbook, which supplements the orientation. Together, these two resources will supply you with all the information you need to know about NYU resources, services, policies, and expectations for the January Term.
- Additionally, all new international students with an F-1 or J-1 visa studying during the January Term are required to report their arrival at NYU through the Office of Global Services, or OGS. OGS will host a mandatory check-in on Friday, January 8, at 1:30 PM. Failure to complete this process may jeopardize students’ ability to remain in the United States. Be sure to RSVP for this session online via the OGS website. OGS also provides other support services to international students including immigration guidance, cultural adjustment resources, and events. International students should contact OGS directly via email or phone with questions about check-in.
- Finally, a reminder that TODAY, December 8, is the payment deadline for any January term course(s) you have registered for. If you register for a course after today, you will be billed and given a payment deadline accordingly.
